Mentorship
The Brick by Brick Apprenticeship has 4 key components:

1)  Work
2)  Education
3)  Goal Setting
4)  Mentorship
What is a Mentor?
An experienced, and trusted advisor.  Someone who is invested in your future.

If I were to look back at my 28 years in business, I was fortunate to have multiple mentors.  They are enormously important.  Learning from experience (mistakes) can become a very costly education.  Mentors provide a sounding board, and a mirror at the same time.

Colleges tend to have advisors (like a high school guidance counselor) and the proffesors often post "office hours" for 1-2 hours per week if you need some help.   Both are valuable, but not what I have in mind when it comes to Mentorship.

Mentorship in the Brick By Brick Apprenticeship?  It is a "contact sport."  On the field.  Intense.  Goal Setting.  Accountability.  Almost like a personal trainer for the first 4 years of your apprenticeship.
